CRAFTSBURY, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a 60-year-old man on a charge of first degree aggravated domestic assault following a reported family fight.
Robert Reil, of Craftsbury, was taken into custody at approximately 8:39 a.m. on Feb. 14, 2026.
Police received a report of a family fight that occurred throughout the evening of Feb. 13, 2026, and the morning of Feb. 14, 2026, from a residence on Creek Road.
Investigation revealed Reil caused serious bodily injury to a family member, according to police.
Reil was located shortly after and taken into custody without incident.
He was transported to the Vermont State Police Derby Barracks for processing.
Reil was ordered held at the Northern State Correctional Facility without bail.
He is scheduled to be arraigned in Orleans County Criminal Court on Feb. 17, 2026, at 12:30 p.m.
