STROUDSBURG, PA — A 22-year-old Pennsylvania man has been arrested on access device fraud and theft by deception charges.
Kiond Jones was taken into custody by the Suffolk County Police Department in New York on Thursday at 4:40 p.m.
The charges stem from an incident on June 17 at Pocono Pools & Spa on Route 611 in Stroudsburg.
Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to the business at 12:53 p.m. for a report of theft.
An employee reported that a customer called and purchased a pool cleaner machine over the phone.
Two males arrived at the store to pick up the item and the purchase was processed, but the transaction failed a week later for $1,377.95.
On July 1, the same two males returned to the store and attempted to purchase items with the same credit card.
While employees attempted to identify them, they fled the store.
The two males then attempted the same theft at the company’s sister store in Barrett Township, where they were arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional Police.
They were identified as Jones and Dilan Bryan.
