PLAINFIELD, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Maplefields convenience store on US Route 2.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:51 p.m. on February 9, 2026.
Police said a masked male armed with a weapon entered the store and demanded that an employee open the cash register.
The suspect fled on foot with an unknown quantity of cigarettes.
Authorities described the suspect as approximately 6 feet tall with a slender build.
The investigation is ongoing.
