PINE GROVE TOWNSHIP, PA — Emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident involving a tractor-trailer and a pickup truck Tuesday morning near McDonald’s.
The 21-1C box was dispatched at approximately 10:30 a.m. for a motor vehicle accident with reported entrapment.
E21-10 returned to the station to retrieve the rescue vehicle before responding to the scene.
Initial reports indicated one person was trapped in a vehicle.
Assistant 21 arrived on scene and determined there was no entrapment, but one person sustained injuries.
Crews assisted with patient care and traffic control.
E58-10, L58-25, R21-50 and RE58-50 responded to the accident.
District 67 and Lebanon E57-11 were also originally dispatched because other apparatus were committed to a fire alarm and a fire in Pottsville.
Earlier Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m., E21-10 responded to a commercial fire alarm at the 21-1B box.
Crews arrived and found no fire.
An investigation determined the building owners were switching alarm systems and failed to place the current system on test mode.
