GATES, NY — Two Rochester men have been arrested in connection with a shooting at a movie theater parking lot nearly 10 months ago.
Javeon Jackson-Grisham, 19, of Rochester, and Beau Brown, 19, of Rochester, were arrested Friday by the Gates Police Department with assistance from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
Both men were charged with first-degree assault, a class B felony, and first-degree reckless endangerment, a class D felony.
The arrests stem from an April 25 shooting at the Tinseltown Movie Theater at 2291 Buffalo Road.
Gates police responded to several 911 calls reporting gunshots near the theater shortly after 1 a.m. that day.
Officers discovered two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the theater’s parking lot.
Officers administered initial aid before Gates Fire and Gates Ambulance personnel transported both victims to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The suspects had fled the area before police arrived.
Brown and Jackson-Grisham were arrested without incident and brought to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment in Centralized Arraignment Court.
Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Ogden Police and New York State Police assisted with crowd control and handling calls for service during the initial investigation.
