Man arrested in stabbing in Norwalk

NORWALK, CT — Norwalk patrol officers arrested a man in connection with a stabbing that occurred early Thursday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the area of 125 South Main Street at 12:29 a.m. on a report of a stabbing.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim who reported that he had been stabbed in the upper left chest area, just below the collarbone.

The victim also stated that the suspect stole his cell phone during the incident.

The victim was transported by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers on scene broadcast a description of the suspect to other responding units and collected surveillance footage from nearby businesses.

Based on the information obtained and a review of surveillance video, officers located the suspect in the area of Grove Street.

The suspect, identified as Cristian Euceda, 20, of Norwalk, was found to be in possession of the victim’s stolen cell phone and a knife.

Euceda was taken into custody and transported to Norwalk Police Headquarters, where he was processed.

Euceda was charged with robbery in the first degree, assault in the first degree, threatening in the first degree, carrying a dangerous weapon, breach of peace in the second degree and violation of beverage container regulations.

He was held on $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 26, 2026.
