Fire engine responds to house fire in Yulan

PORT JERVIS, NY — The Port Jervis Fire Department was called to provide mutual aid in Yulan early Wednesday morning for a house fire.

Port Jervis was initially requested to send one engine for standby duty around 3 a.m. while Yulan firefighters operated at the scene.

Car 2 and Engine 2 relocated to the Yulan firehouse and provided coverage for the Yulan, Highland Lake and Lumberland fire districts.

Approximately two hours later, Port Jervis crews were upgraded to respond directly to the fire scene to provide additional manpower.

The crew operated at the scene until being released around 10:30 a.m.
