Two juveniles arrested in Abington Township vehicle theft investigation

ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a series of vehicle thefts and thefts from vehicles that occurred over nearly two months in several Abington Township neighborhoods.

The thefts occurred between Nov. 9 and Dec. 31 in the Huntingdon Valley, Elkins Park and Roslyn areas during overnight hours while vehicles were parked at residents’ homes, according to the Abington Township Police Department.

The investigation solved multiple cases within Abington Township as well as additional cases in other Montgomery County jurisdictions with assistance from partner police departments.

Four stolen vehicles were recovered as a result of the coordinated effort.

Police are reminding residents to lock their vehicles, remove valuables, keys and key fobs from inside cars, and consider using exterior lighting or security cameras when available.

Residents are also urged to promptly report suspicious activity to help police respond quickly.
