AURELIUS, NY — A 50-year-old man was arrested after a domestic violence incident in a department store parking lot.
Thomas W. Michlovitch, of Auburn, was charged with Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation, a misdemeanor, according to Cayuga County Sheriff Brian Schenck.
Deputies responded to a parking lot on Clark Street Road at approximately 12:04 p.m. on Feb. 4 for a reported domestic violence incident.
Upon arrival, deputies interviewed a female victim who reported a physical altercation with a male family member.
The investigation revealed that Michlovitch had wrapped his arm around the victim’s neck and applied pressure during an argument.
Michlovitch turned himself in to police at the Public Safety Building at 3:44 p.m. that day, where he was taken into custody and processed.
He was remanded to the Cayuga County Jail on $10,000 cash or $20,000 insured bond.
Michlovitch is scheduled to appear in Aurelius Town Court on Feb. 11 at 7:00 p.m.
