Man arrested on attempted homicide charge in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, PA — Police arrested a man on attempted homicide and assault charges following a stabbing in the city’s downtown area Tuesday morning.

Harrisburg Police responded to a report of an assault in the area of North 3rd and Walnut streets at about 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 10.

Officers located an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound to the chest area.

The victim provided details of the assault and a description of the suspect before being transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police said the victim is expected to recover from his injuries.

Officers located a suspect matching the description a short time later.

The suspect, identified as Tyler Allen Peace, 26, of Pennsylvania, was stopped and taken into custody.

A bloody knife was located in his possession, according to police.

Peace was charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.
