MANCHESTER, NH — Police arrested a man following a several-hour standoff on Laurel Street on Feb. 10, 2026.

Manchester Police responded to a Laurel Street address at approximately 8:30 a.m. for a reported violation of bail.

Edward Kleinfeldt, 50, of Manchester, was reported to be inside the residence, although he had bail conditions that required him to stay away from the address.

The first officer on scene made announcements for Kleinfeldt to come outside, but instead Kleinfeldt began yelling and would not comply.

Additional units arrived, including SWAT personnel, and a drone was deployed.

A loudspeaker was used to make announcements, ordering Kleinfeldt to leave the building, and negotiators tried to convince him to surrender.

After several hours, the decision was made to breach a window and deploy 40mm less-lethal munitions.

SWAT members were eventually able to take him into custody without further incident.

Kleinfeldt was charged with breach of bail, stalking domestic violence, criminal threatening and resisting arrest.
