Rhode Island State Police make multiple arrests

CENTRAL FALLS, RI — Members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested a man on a domestic violence warrant on Feb. 3, 2026.

Michael Torres, 32, of Central Falls, was arrested on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Central Falls Police Department for domestic violence aggravated assault with a bat.

Torres was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Central Falls Police Department.

On Feb. 5, 2026, members of the Computer Crimes Unit/Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Mohamed Kamara, 30, of Providence, for possession of child pornography.

Kamara was processed at State Police Headquarters and arraigned in Sixth Division District Court.

Judge Isherwood set bail at $10,000 personal recognizance with special conditions of no intended contact with minors and limited internet access.

On Feb. 5, 2026, members of the Major Crimes Unit arrested Matthew Lasorsa, 34, of Johnston, for domestic violence stalking prohibited, 22 counts of breaking and entering a business place/public building/ship with felonious intent, three counts of making, repairing or possessing burglar tools, and domestic violence electronic tracking device on a motor vehicle.

Lasorsa was arraigned in Providence Superior Court and released on $20,000 surety bail.

On Feb. 5, 2026, members of the Rhode Island State Police HIDTA Task Force arrested David Crumady, 40, of Johnston, for possession with intent to deliver Schedule II fentanyl and possession with intent to deliver Schedule II cocaine.

Crumady was taken into custody without incident, transported to the Lincoln Barracks, processed and later transported to Third District Court for arraignment.

On Feb. 5, 2026, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Kemoni Mitchell, 28, of Providence, on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Providence Police Department for felony assault.

Mitchell was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Providence Police Department.

On Feb. 5, 2026, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Alex Rodriguez, 31, of Providence, on an affidavit and arrest warrant from the Pawtucket Police Department for two counts of domestic violation of no contact order, domestic simple assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

Rodriguez was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Pawtucket Police Department.

On Feb. 6, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit charged Javier Cepeda, 21, with last known address of Providence, with domestic violence violation of a no contact order, second offense.

Cepeda was arraigned in Third District Court and remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.

On Feb. 6, 2026, the ACI Investigations Unit charged Brandon Mccrave, 29, with last known address of West Kingston, with domestic violence violation of a no contact order, third offense.

Mccrave was arraigned in Third District Court and remanded to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.
