Driver, 4 passengers arrested on weapons charges in East Fishkill

EAST FISHKILL, NY — New York State Police arrested five Brooklyn men on multiple weapons charges following a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway early Feb. 7, 2026.

Troopers observed a vehicle traveling northbound on the parkway in violation of state vehicle and traffic law at about 2:20 a.m. in Stormville.

Troopers attempted to stop the vehicle near mile marker 24 in the Town of Putnam Valley.

The driver failed to comply, leading to a brief pursuit.

The vehicle stopped a short distance later near mile marker 34.5 in the Town of East Fishkill.

During a vehicle inventory, troopers located a loaded Glock handgun attached to an extended drum-style magazine.

The driver, Devon A. Marc Fortune-Hervey Jr., 21, of Brooklyn, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, a class C felony; criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, a class D felony; criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony; criminal contempt 2nd, a class A misdemeanor; and unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle 3rd, a class A misdemeanor.

Passengers Malik Fowles Blackstock, 23, and Sean A. Lindsay, 21, both of Brooklyn, were charged with criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, a class C felony; criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, a class D felony; and criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony.

Passengers Amari D. Andries, 22, and Ibrahim Jalloh, 20, both of Brooklyn, were charged with criminal possession of a weapon 3rd, a class D felony; possession of a forged instrument 2nd, a class D felony; criminal possession of a weapon 2nd, a class C felony; and criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony.

All five were arraigned in the Town of East Fishkill Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center in lieu of $50,000 cash, $150,000 bond, or $450,000 partially secured bond.

A return date was set for Feb. 11, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.
