WASHINGTON, PA — Police are investigating three separate incidents that occurred on the morning of Feb. 7.

At approximately 6:11 a.m., patrol units were dispatched to the 600 block of Allison Avenue for a report of shots fired.

Officers located multiple shell casings upon arrival.

No injuries were reported, but a vehicle belonging to the reporting party was struck by gunfire.

At approximately 6:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Hayes Avenue for a report of an armed robbery.

The victim met with officers at an alternate location to provide a statement.

The victim reported being approached by several younger African American males wearing masks and armed with firearms.

The suspects allegedly forced the victim into their vehicle and drove him to a local bank, where he was compelled to withdraw funds.

The suspects and victim then traveled to another location, where the suspects demanded additional funds through an application-based money transfer.

At approximately 9:10 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 700 block of North Franklin Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a resident’s driveway.

The caller reported the vehicle did not belong to him and observed damage to the steering column.

The caller also reported observing three juveniles in the area—two in a separate vehicle and one on foot wearing a ski mask.

The juvenile on foot repeatedly apologized for the vehicle being parked in the driveway before entering a vehicle and fleeing the area.

The vehicle was later confirmed to be reported stolen from Canonsburg Police Department.

A be-on-the-lookout was issued for a white Kia Sportage bearing Pennsylvania registration JXR-1000.

Police believe the armed robbery and stolen vehicle investigation may be connected.

Investigators do not believe the shots fired incident is connected to the other incidents.
