WATERVILLE, ME — A Fairfield man was arrested on domestic violence charges following a brief standoff early Sunday morning.

Members of the Waterville Police Department responded to 267 Main Street for a domestic dispute at approximately 2:40 a.m. on Feb. 9.

Officers on scene developed probable cause to charge the male occupant, Christopher Bryant, 49, of Fairfield, with domestic violence assault and domestic violence terrorizing.

At approximately 6:45 a.m., Bryant was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence assault (Class D) and domestic violence terrorizing (Class D).
