Man arrested on protection order violation charge in Annsville

ANNSVILLE, NY — A Utica man was arrested following an order of protection violation.

On Feb. 6, 2026, at around 8:30 p.m., Road Patrol Deputies were dispatched to Martin Court for a report of a domestic incident.

Deputies determined that Dashawn Johnson, 35, of Utica, had violated a stay away order of protection by contacting the protected party via telephone.

On Feb. 7, 2026, Deputies located Johnson in the City of Utica, and with the assistance of the Utica Police Department, Johnson was taken into custody.

Johnson also had an active arrest warrant out of New York State Police for the same charge.

Johnson was charged with one count of criminal contempt in the second degree, a Class A misdemeanor.

Johnson was transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing and was held at the Oneida County Jail following his arraignment in CAP Court.
