Woman arrested on DUI charge in Waltham

WALTHAM, VT — A Bristol woman was arrested on a DUI charge following a single-vehicle crash on Plank Road near U.S. Route 7 on Feb. 7, 2026.

Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 4:26 p.m. where they found a 2022 Honda CR-V overturned and resting upside down.

Investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling east when it left the roadway and overturned.

The operator was identified as Wendy Frazier, 56, of Bristol.

While speaking with Frazier, troopers detected indicators of impairment.

Frazier was screened and placed under arrest.

She was transported to the Vergennes Police Department for processing.

Frazier was wearing a seat belt and was not injured in the crash.

The vehicle was totaled.

At the conclusion of processing, Frazier was released to a sober adult with a citation to appear in Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, at a later date.

Troopers were assisted by the Vergennes Police Department, Vergennes Fire Department and Vergennes Rescue Squad.
