DOVER, NY — Members of New York State Police conducted a warrant investigation on Feb. 5, 2026, in the Dover area.
Assigned members worked to identify wanted individuals and complete detailed investigative workups.
Focused patrol and surveillance operations at multiple locations led to the apprehension of one suspect, Alexis R. Caron, 27, of Wassaic, who had an active warrant issued by the Town of Amenia Court.
Further investigation revealed that Caron also had an active warrant out of Torrington, Connecticut, for negligent homicide, an offense equivalent to a felony under New York State law.
Caron was charged with bail jumping in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor.
Caron was arraigned in the Town of Amenia Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Justice and Transition Center pending extradition to Connecticut.
