CLARK, NJ — A written threat discovered at Arthur L. Johnson High School prompted a lockdown and search of the building Thursday morning.
The Clark Township Police Department received a report of the threat at 10:03 a.m.
The school was immediately placed into lockdown as patrol officers and detectives responded to the scene.
Clark police officers, assisted by mutual aid partners, conducted a search of the building.
The Threat Assessment Protocol was put into place.
Students were dismissed for the day once the search was completed.
The pre-school continued operating normally.
The Clark Township Police Department Juvenile Bureau is conducting an investigation into the incident.
