Man charged with drug possession in Caernarvon Township

CAERNARVON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Pennsylvania man faces drug charges after police responded to a medical emergency at a residence on Dec. 8.

Officer Christopher Dunlap responded to a medical incident at a residence on Hartman Lane at approximately 10 a.m.

Upon arrival, Dunlap found Charles Stephenson, 54, of Pennsylvania, semi-responsive and hallucinating.

EMS personnel were on scene, and Dunlap provided assistance.

During the incident, Dunlap observed a crystal substance on a plastic tray on a dresser, along with two plastic straws containing what appeared to be crystal methamphetamine residue.

A plastic baggie containing large crystal-like particles was also found on the ground next to the bed.

After Stephenson was removed from the residence, Dunlap recovered the substances and transported them to the police station for further analysis.

A field test confirmed the presence of methamphetamine.

Stephenson is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
