Caretaker wanted on theft charges in Verona

VERONA, PA — Police are seeking a caretaker accused of stealing money from a client’s checking account.

Angel Thomas, 31, of Pittsburgh, is wanted on charges of theft and financial exploitation of a care dependent person, according to the Verona Police Department.

An officer responded to a report of theft of money from a checking account.

Police determined Thomas, who was hired as a caretaker for the victim, stole money from the account without authorization.

Thomas has several other outstanding warrants, including a federal warrant for cocaine distribution as well as warrants for assault, criminal mischief and terroristic threats.

Anyone with information on Thomas’ whereabouts is asked to call the Verona Police Department.
