GRANVILLE, NY — State Police arrested a Granville woman following a hit-and-run collision on Jan. 29, 2026.
Lacy R. Prevost, 36, of Granville, faces charges of criminal possession of stolen property 4th, a class E felony, two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th, a class A misdemeanor, a public health law violation, driving while ability impaired by drugs and another vehicle and traffic law violation.
At about 9:02 p.m., troopers responded to a report of a hit-and-run collision into a guiderail on State Route 22 in Granville.
A patrol of the area located the vehicle involved, disabled off the roadway of County Route 23 in Granville.
The uninjured driver was identified as Prevost.
Controlled substances were located in the vehicle and in her possession.
Further investigation determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen that same day from Wells.
Prevost was arrested at the scene and transported to SP Granville for processing where she was evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert and a sample was taken to determine the drug and/or alcohol content of her blood.
Prevost was then transported to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
