Woman arrested on harassment charges in Cortlandville

CORTLANDVILLE, NY — A 19-year-old woman was arrested on charges of aggravated harassment and endangering the welfare of a child after allegedly sending threatening messages to a juvenile.

Skylee S. Brown, of McGraw, was taken into custody at 8:36 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2026, according to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers began investigating a harassment complaint at approximately 6:07 p.m. on Feb. 2, 2026, at a residence in the town of Cortlandville.

Through the investigation, authorities determined that Brown sent threatening messages to a juvenile.

Brown was transported to the Cortland County Sheriff’s Office for processing.

She was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Process on Feb. 3, 2026, at 8 a.m., where she was released on her own recognizance.

Brown is scheduled to appear in Cortlandville Town Court on Feb. 18, 2026, at 11 a.m.
