Man charged with disorderly conduct in Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — A 28-year-old East Orange man was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment as a result of a Detective Bureau investigation of a customer that was harassing employees at a Route 22 restaurant on Jan. 16.

A 41-year-old Plainfield man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Middlesex County as a result of an on-scene investigation of a motor vehicle accident on Route 22 on Jan. 16.

A 19-year-old Union woman was arrested on an outstanding Springfield warrant as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 22 on Jan. 17.

A 43-year-old Westfield man was arrested on an outstanding Springfield warrant as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Baltusrol Way on Jan. 19.

A 56-year-old Milford man was charged with identity theft and theft of movable property on Jan. 21.

The charges were the culmination of a Detective Bureau investigation of fraud reported by a resident.

During a motor vehicle stop on Jan. 21, it was found that a driver had presented false identification to police.

As a result of a follow-up investigation, a 25-year-old Newark man was charged with hindering apprehension, forgery and identity theft.

A 34-year-old Elizabeth man was charged with theft as a result of a follow-up investigation of shoplifting reported at a Morris Avenue pharmacy on Jan. 29.
