NORWICH, NY — A 61-year-old man was arrested Friday in connection with a domestic incident.
The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a physical domestic dispute in the Town of Norwich on Jan. 31, 2026.
Following an investigation, deputies determined the suspect caused serious physical injury to the victim.
Donald D. Harris, of the Town of Norwich, was taken into custody without incident.
Harris was transported to the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office, where he was processed and charged with assault in the second degree, a class D felony.
Harris was arraigned through centralized arraignment and remanded to the Chenango County Correctional Facility.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Norwich Court at a later date.
