WALTON, NY — A Walton resident was arrested on drunken driving charges following a one-car crash on County Highway 21.
Logan Barnhart, 29, of Walton, was arrested Sunday after sheriff’s deputies responded to the accident in the Town of Walton.
Deputies observed that Barnhart appeared to be under the influence of alcohol during their investigation, according to Sheriff Craig S. DuMond.
Barnhart was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 of 1% or more, both misdemeanors.
He was also issued traffic summonses for speed not reasonable and prudent, moved from lane unsafely, failed to keep right and possession of an open alcoholic container within a motor vehicle.
Barnhart was released on appearance tickets and traffic summonses and was directed to appear in Walton Town Court at a later date.
