Man surrenders on sex abuse charges in Albion

ALBION, NY — A school district employee surrendered to authorities Wednesday on charges involving a juvenile victim.

Josefino Paz, 58, of Brockport, turned himself in at the Orleans County Jail on Feb. 4, 2026, following an investigation by the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office.

Paz was charged with forcible touching, sexual abuse in the third degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

The investigation determined the incident involved a juvenile victim and occurred in the town of Albion.

No identifying information about the victim will be released due to the victim’s age.

Paz is employed by the Albion Central School District as an English as a Second Language teacher.

The Sheriff’s Office coordinated the investigation with Albion School District officials, School Resource Deputy Ashleigh Stornelli, and Sheriff’s Investigators Kevin Colonna and Devon Pahuta.

School officials removed Paz from the district and revoked his access to school property upon learning of the incident.

Paz was processed at the jail and held pending arraignment.

A temporary order of protection was issued.
