Man arrested on warrant in Richmond

RICHMOND, RI — State Police arrested two people on separate charges Jan. 23.

At 1:44 p.m., troopers arrested Keishon Pina Nelson, 30, of Providence, for driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, fourth-plus offense.

Nelson was also arrested on a Sixth District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for a pretrial conference on an original charge of driving with a suspended, revoked or cancelled license, fourth-plus offense, originating from the East Providence Police Department.

He was transported to the State Police Hope Valley Barracks, where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.

Nelson was turned over to the Adult Correctional Institute Men’s Intake Center as a bail violator.

At 11:21 p.m., troopers arrested Morgan Beaudreault, 25, of Woonsocket, for driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs, blood alcohol content unknown, second offense, with blood results pending.

Beaudreault was also charged with eluding law enforcement, first offense.

The arrest resulted from an attempted motor vehicle stop on Route 3 in Richmond, where the suspect vehicle fled and was later located by Richmond Police Department.

Beaudreault was transported to Kent County Hospital for a medical evaluation and later released on a misdemeanor summons into the custody of a responsible adult with a notice to appear in Fourth Division District Court.
