JAY, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on Vermont Route 242 near the Jay Peak Resort entrance on Feb. 3, 2026.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:03 p.m.
Police identified the operators as Riley Booth, 29, of North Troy, and Brianna LaBerge, 23, of Westfield.
Investigation revealed Booth was exiting Jay Peak Resort and failed to yield to right-of-way traffic when entering Vermont Route 242, according to police.
LaBerge’s 2019 Nissan Sentra struck Booth’s 2007 Honda Element.
The Honda sustained damage to the driver side front-end, while the Nissan sustained damage to the passenger side front-end.
Neither operator reported injuries.
LaBerge was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, while Booth was not, police said.
Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash, though weather was clear.
Rays Towing and Greniers Towing responded to assist at the scene.
