Police respond to more than 3,000 calls in Hamburg

HAMBURG, NY — Police responded to 3,036 calls for service during January, according to the Hamburg Police Department.

Officers made 91 arrests during the month, with 13 of those being DWI-related.

Police filed 108 accident reports with the state and issued 296 traffic tickets.

The department’s behavioral health clinician, working with officers, conducted 18 follow-ups during January.

The department’s domestic violence advocate is following up with 46 individuals to determine if they need assistance.
