Man arrested on child pornography charge in Princetown

PRINCETOWN, NY — State Police arrested a 21-year-old man on Jan. 30, 2026, on a charge of possessing a sexual performance by a child.

Ryan P. Lawyer, of Cobleskill, was taken into custody by State Police with assistance from the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit and the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce.

Lawyer is accused of possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation.

The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Lawyer was processed at State Police barracks in Cobleskill.

He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Cobleskill Town Court on Feb. 17, 2026, and released.

Possessing a sexual performance by a child is a class E felony.
