Woman arrested on burglary charge in Ulster

ULSTER, NY — A Kingston woman was arrested on multiple charges stemming from an October incident at a residence.

Jasmine C. Jenrette, 28, of Kingston, was taken into custody Feb. 2 at her residence with assistance from the United States Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Police said members of the Ulster Police Department responded to a residence Oct. 29 for a physical dispute.

Upon arrival, officers learned that a female had forcibly and unlawfully made entry into the residence of another and damaged property while inside, according to police.

The female had fled the area prior to police arrival, authorities said.

Officers continued the investigation and identified the suspect as Jenrette, police said.

Jenrette was arrested on a warrant charging her with burglary in the second degree, two counts of criminal mischief, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and harassment in the second degree.

She was processed and sent to the Ulster County Jail to await arraignment.
