WEST RUTLAND, VT — A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a single-vehicle crash on Blue Star Drive on Feb. 1, 2026.
Vermont State Police responded to the crash near Birdseye Road at approximately 3:39 p.m.
Troopers identified the operator as Kyle Bruno, of West Rutland.
During their interaction with Bruno, troopers observed several indicators of impairment, according to police.
Bruno was taken into custody for driving under the influence and transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.
Police said Bruno was also in violation of court-ordered conditions of release and had an outstanding arrest warrant.
Bruno was driving a 2018 Toyota Tundra that sustained moderate front-end damage in the crash.
He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center.
Following processing, Bruno was transported to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility.
The West Rutland Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
Weather was clear and road conditions were dry at the time of the crash.
