SOUTH WINDSOR, CT — Police arrested a 19-year-old man on multiple felony charges stemming from a domestic violence incident earlier this month.
Brian P. Misztal, of South Windsor, turned himself in at police headquarters at 8:51 a.m. Friday on an active arrest warrant.
Police said Misztal smashed the victim’s phone during the early January incident and pulled a gun on her, threatening her and others with harm.
Investigators determined Misztal grabbed the victim’s hair and dragged her around a basement while placing the gun on her neck.
Misztal was charged with intentional cruelty to persons, criminal mischief in the second degree, breach of peace in the second degree, negligent storage of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, threatening in the first degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree and unlawful restraint in the first degree.
He was held on $150,000 surety bond and appeared in Manchester Superior Court on Friday.
In a separate incident, police arrested Roger Brown, 49, of South Windsor, at 5:11 p.m. Saturday on an active arrest warrant.
Brown was charged with larceny in the sixth degree after police said he stole $240 in cash from a fellow employee’s wallet at Stop & Shop at 1739 Ellington Road in early January.
Brown turned himself in at police headquarters and was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond.
He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court at 9 a.m. Feb. 18.
