GALWAY, NY — A Broadalbin man was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge following a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon on state Route 29.
Timothy P. Magagnos, 45, of Broadalbin, was charged with DWI and failure to yield right of way after the 12:39 p.m. crash in the town of Galway, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Magagnos is accused of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and failing to yield right of way from a stop sign at an intersection.
He allegedly refused a chemical test.
Magagnos’ vehicle crossed over state Route 29 from Greens Corner Road traveling south when his vehicle was struck by another vehicle traveling east on Route 29, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Magagnos was not injured.
Four occupants of the other vehicle sustained apparently non-life-threatening injuries, with two of them transported to Saratoga Hospital by ambulance.
Magagnos was arraigned before the Honorable David F. DeVall in Galway Town Court and released on his own recognizance pending further proceedings.
