Man arrested on conditions of release violation in Alburg

ALBURG, VT — A St. Albans man was arrested after allegedly violating court-ordered conditions of release during a traffic stop.

Adam Tatro, 35, of St. Albans, was taken into custody on Jan. 31, 2026.

Vermont State Police initiated a traffic stop at approximately 11:33 p.m. on U.S. Route 2 near West Shore Road for an observed motor vehicle violation.

During the investigation, the passenger of the vehicle left the area of the stop.

Police later identified the passenger as Tatro, who was found to have active court-ordered conditions of release requiring a 24-hour curfew.

Tatro was transported to the St. Albans Barracks for processing.

He was lodged at Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans on $2,500 bail.

Tatro was issued a citation ordering him to appear in Grand Isle County Superior Court on Feb. 2, 2026, at 1 p.m.
