ELLENVILLE, NY — Ellenville police and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force arrested a wanted suspect Thursday evening after an all-day search.

Officers attempted to execute an arrest warrant at two separate locations at Emerald Pond Estates at 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.

After conducting an intensive search for the suspect, police were unable to locate him.

At about 7:30 p.m., Ellenville police and members of the U.S. Marshals, while following up on a complaint at apartment E12, which was one of the two locations they had searched earlier in the day, spotted the fugitive and arrested him without incident.

He is identified as Andrew Porter Jackson, 24, of Ellenville.

He is charged with felony criminal contempt in the first degree and harassment in the second degree.

He was processed and transported to CAP court where he was to be arraigned Thursday.
