SMITHFIELD, RI — Two North Kingstown men were arrested following a hit-and-run motor vehicle accident on Route 295 that ended with a crash on Putnam Pike.
Nathan King, 19, of North Kingstown, was arrested at approximately 7:10 a.m. on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, first offense, and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.
Keigan Church, 18, of North Kingstown, was arrested at approximately 7:10 a.m. on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, first offense, and obstructing an officer in the execution of duty.
The arrests stemmed from a hit-and-run accident on Route 295, with the fleeing vehicle subsequently crashing on Putnam Pike.
King was transported to Fatima Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.
He was later transported to Rhode Island State Police Headquarters, where he was processed and arraigned by a Justice of the Peace.
King was released with a future Third District Court date.
Church was transported to Rhode Island State Police Headquarters where he was processed and later transported to Third District Court for morning arraignment.
