CAMP HILL, PA — The Camp Hill Police Department has charged Jaylen Harvey-Longmire, 20, of Harrisburg, following a series of thefts from motor vehicles and related offenses reported earlier this year.

Police received reports of thefts from vehicles on the 100 and 200 blocks of South 16th Street on Jan. 6 and Jan. 17.

Items reported stolen included wallets, bank cards, and, in one incident, a handgun.

Investigators said the stolen bank cards were later used fraudulently at multiple retail stores.

Through the course of the investigation, officers identified Harvey-Longmire as a suspect and recovered the stolen handgun from his possession.

Harvey-Longmire faces three counts of theft from a motor vehicle, two counts of theft by unlawful taking, three counts of access device fraud, and one count of receiving stolen property.

Police reminded residents to lock their vehicles and avoid leaving valuables or firearms inside unattended.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
