BETHLEHEM, PA — Police arrested Louis Angel Vega, 25, of Bethlehem, on allegations of strangulation, assault, and harassment Thursday afternoon after responding to reports of a woman calling for help.
Officers were dispatched at approximately 2:34 p.m. on Jan. 29 to a residence where a female was reportedly screaming for help out of a window.
During the investigation, police determined that Vega had assaulted the victim, and visible injuries were observed.
Authorities said Vega resisted officers before being handcuffed and taken into custody.
He was transported to Northampton County Prison.
Vega faces charges of strangulation, simple assault, and harassment.
All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
