WALTON, NY — A Walton man was arrested Thursday following an investigation into a stolen vehicle complaint, according to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched Thursday afternoon to the Town of Bovina for a report of a stolen vehicle, which was later found in the Village of Walton.
During the investigation, deputies identified the suspect as Shane Tweedie, 35, of Walton.
Deputies located Tweedie walking in the Village of Walton and took him into custody.
He was charged with one count of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in the third degree, a class A misdemeanor; one count of grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony; one count of burglary in the second degree, a class C felony; one count of criminal contempt in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor; and one count of criminal trespass in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor, under New York State Penal Law.
After being processed, Tweedie was transported to the Delaware County Correctional Facility to await Centralized Arraignment Court.
