WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, PA — Police have charged Kate Elizabeth Gilchrist, 39, of York, with possession of a controlled substance and retail theft after an investigation into a November incident at a local Walmart.
According to West Manchester Township Police, officers responded to a report of theft at Walmart located at 1000 Town Center Drive at approximately 2:15 p.m. on Nov. 20.
After investigating, police allege that Gilchrist was found in possession of a controlled substance and had taken items without paying.
Gilchrist faces one count of possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, and one count of retail theft, a summary offense.
She is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
