LOWER SWATARA TOWNSHIP, PA — A woman faces assault charges after allegedly spitting on a police officer at a district court on Jan. 28, 2026.
Kristen Lynn Zawacki, 42, of Pennsylvania, was attending a criminal court proceeding at MDJ Judy’s District Court for previous charges related to a domestic violence arrest.
After the hearing concluded, Zawacki was being prepared for transport back to Dauphin County Prison when she became belligerent in the courtroom, according to Lower Swatara Township Police.
Police say Zawacki spit on a Lower Swatara Township officer and attempted to kick them as she was being placed in the back of a patrol vehicle.
Zawacki was eventually secured in the vehicle and a spit mask was placed over her face to prevent further incidents, police said.
She was then transported back to Dauphin County Prison.
Zawacki was charged with aggravated assault and assault on a law enforcement officer.
