GENEVA, NY — A multi-agency investigation into illegal narcotic sales resulted in the arrest of a local man on felony charges.
Aaron Godwin-Smith, 26, of Geneva, was arrested Tuesday following the execution of a search warrant at a home on John Street.
The City of Geneva Police Department Detective Bureau, New York State Police and Ontario County Sheriff’s Office conducted the several-month investigation into illegal narcotic sales from Rochester to Geneva.
Officers executed a “no knock” search warrant at approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday.
During the search, officers located 1.5 kilograms of cocaine, materials used to package and distribute narcotics, two loaded handguns and approximately $3,000.
Godwin-Smith was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, a class A felony, and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, a class C felony.
He was processed at the Geneva Police Department and transported to the Ontario County Jail to await arraignment.
The Geneva Police Narcotics Unit said additional arrests are anticipated and further charges are pending.
