BROWNFIELD, ME — A tractor-trailer jackknifed on Route 113 this morning, blocking the roadway for several hours.
The incident occurred at approximately 9 a.m. when a Freightliner tractor-trailer rig lost control due to snowy and slippery road conditions, according to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver, Rickey Allison of Mosley, Virginia, lost control of the rig, which slid completely across the roadway.
Crews worked to reopen the road, but it took several hours.
No injuries were reported.
Fryeburg Police Department, along with Brownfield and Fryeburg fire departments and Fryeburg Rescue, assisted at the scene.
