EPHRATA TOWNSHIP, PA — Two women were arrested on shoplifting charges Friday afternoon at a Walmart store.
The Ephrata Police Department was dispatched to Walmart at 890 E. Main St. at approximately 2:35 p.m. for a report of two female shoplifters in custody.
Walmart Loss Prevention had detained Nicole Ellex, 30, of Adamstown, and a co-conspirator for allegedly concealing more than $250 worth of health and beauty items and food items.
The two women walked past all points of sale without attempting to pay for the concealed merchandise, according to police.
Both women were arrested and transported to the Ephrata Police Department to be processed.
Ellex is currently on probation and a detainer was issued.
She was transported to Lancaster County Prison for night arraignment.
