WILTON, NY — A woman faces felony and misdemeanor charges after allegedly depositing worthless checks at a financial institution.
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Courtney L. Murray, 27, of Corinth, on Friday.
Murray is charged with grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony, and two counts of issuing a bad check, class B misdemeanors.
Authorities say Murray deposited checks on two occasions in October at a financial institution in Wilton that were drawn on a closed account.
She allegedly stole more than $3,000 that were credited to her account before the bank discovered the checks were worthless.
Murray was released on appearance tickets pending proceedings in Wilton Town Court.
