MERRIMACK, NH — A 58-year-old man was arrested Thursday evening after police say he stole a vehicle from a convenience store parking lot.
John Parrinello, of Merrimack, was charged with theft by unauthorized taking, two counts of receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.
Merrimack Police were notified at 6:29 p.m. of a vehicle that had just been stolen from the convenience store parking lot.
The owner of the vehicle was able to track it to an address in Merrimack.
Upon arrival, police located the vehicle at 41 Turkey Hill Rd.
During the investigation, police learned that Parrinello had been observed walking up to and taking the vehicle.
Police also determined that Parrinello had been in possession of a different vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Manchester on Jan. 17.
That vehicle was located in close proximity to the convenience store.
Police also learned that Parrinello had caused damage to items inside the stolen vehicle.
Parrinello was arrested and transported to Merrimack Police Department, where he was processed and held on $1,000 cash bail.
He is scheduled to appear in 9th Circuit Merrimack District Court on Jan. 26.
Parrinello is currently being held at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections.
