HOLYOKE, MA — Holyoke police detectives seized approximately 30 bags of heroin/fentanyl and 38 capsules of cocaine Thursday evening during a quality-of-life property check.
Detective Sergeant Dustin Summers, Detective Sergeant Michael Whelihan and Detectives Ashley Feliciano, William Lebrun and John Wagner were conducting property checks at 173 and 177 Elm Street around 5:50 p.m.
Detectives observed a subject trespassing on the property.
During a search, detectives recovered two bundles containing 20 bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl, 10 loose bags of suspected heroin/fentanyl and approximately 38 plastic capsules filled with suspected cocaine.
Eric Garcia, 58, of Springfield was arrested at the scene.
Garcia is charged with possession with the intent to distribute a Class A drug, possession with the intent to distribute a Class B drug, possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug and trespassing.
