Driver rescued from overturned vehicle in Limerick

LIMERICK, PA — Emergency crews rescued a driver trapped in an overturned vehicle on Country Club Road on Tuesday evening.

The Limerick Fire Department was dispatched to the scene at 7:09 p.m. for a reported vehicle rescue.

Upon arrival, fire officials found a single occupant trapped inside a vehicle resting on its side.

The driver was uninjured.

Fire crews stabilized the vehicle and used a Little Giant ladder to safely assist the driver out of the car.

Freedom Valley EMS personnel evaluated the driver as a precaution.

A tow truck removed the vehicle from the scene.

Fire police temporarily closed Country Club Road between Linfield-Trappe Road and Ridge Pike during the incident.

Responding units included Chief 51, Assistant 51, Rescue 51, Engine 51, Trappe Engine 77, Limerick Police, Limerick and Trappe Fire Police, and Freedom Valley EMS.

All units were cleared from the scene at 7:54 p.m.
